I don't think to use my stamps nearly as much as I'd like.

Over time I think swirls/border swirls behind photo but that's a couple of years ago. Mostly journaling spots and words lately, always looking for good word  clear-stamps in Swedish. I avoid English text as much as possible in my layouts but it is difficult. My printer and my Silhouette are my best friends :) .

Over the long run swirls and flourishes have probably been my most common stamping too. And maybe leaves. I love that you try to stick to your first language, Karin!

I love english but my family doesn't understand it and really don't like when I use english words, so I also stick with french. Not easy when you see these beautiful Ali Edwards stamps!!

About stamping: the recent trend of pocket cards is a nice way to use stamping on a layout, because you can experiment your stamping on this smaller size and use it only uf you like it. Plus, there are so many pretty pockets cards that are easy to copy with your stamps!

I used stamps on most of these cards.

But I also have a hard time to use stamps on my layouts. I noticed that I used them more when I make my embellishments ahead, because then I do use my stamps to make DIY embellishments! Like the pocket cards. :)

Love the pocket cards.  Thanks for sharing.  I use sentiment stamps on my scrapbook pages (i.e. Happy, Celebrate, Love).  And also use some stamps like flowers or trees or heart sets to make embellishments for my layouts.  I took a class years ago where we created small 3x3 stamped panels that could be used on either cards or on a corner of a layout.  The possibilities are endless.  And now with mixed media being so hot, my stamps are getting real workout - especially those that are "foundational" - borders, flowers, script, background patterns, etc.

I use stamps to create backgrounds using texture, flourish or background stamps. I also use border stamps to put designs around the edge of my page. I also use stamps that have general sayings like "love life", etc. I have also stamped images like flowers or butterflies, glittered them then cut them out and attached them to the layout using pop dots. Lots of possibilities.

Flourishes, journaling blocks, arrows and other geometrics, and simple words and phrases like "love this."  Most often, though, I used stamps to create a textured background, repeatedly stamping something like this from Tim Holtz for Stampers Anonymous.

I've always had a hard time using my stamps on LOs.  But I just pulled out some of my nice alpha stamps from CTMH Friday and was really thinking I should use them on LOs.  Thanks for challenging me to do so!

I do what Isbaha does with her stamps.  Some other things I do with my stamps in Scrapbooking:

* mixed media background

* Embellishments - next up is stamping cork

* Stamping on photos

* Custom Embellies

I use stamping like I would an embellishment / design element (if it's not a word stamp). I'll usually put them as part of a cluster.

Love those cards, Isbaha!!!

I am guilty of not using my stamps enough. I try to remember. Mostly, I use tiny stamps to pop among the embellishment clusters. I used to use alot of background stamps but have gotten out of the habbit

I use repeated sentiment as text borders.
Other small repeated shapes as borders.
Fussycut and/or pieced/colored items as faux stickers.
Short phrases as photo captions and/or subtitles.
Small images and quotes on tags, labels, tabs, cards, etc.
Larger letters fussycut for titles.
Journaling stamps.

I have lots of frame and label stamps as well. And then I use images, but not as often. Mostly generic text and decorative ones.
