I'm going to try this. Hope my page shows up. If it does, it will be the latest complete page in my daily journal which is basically an illustrated diary.Attached File  07-14a.jpg   161.26KB   1 downloads

Mary, love how you did the numbers. Very cool. And the color choice is awesome. Great journal spread!

Patter, you have created some wonderful texture on this page. Beautiful use of color, too.

This is an experiment I was doing with what Dina Wakley calls "reduction stenciling". I have been meaning to try it for a long time. I was pleased with the way it turned out. I used Golden High Flow Acrylic to make the drips which dried shiny. Since I had nothing that would reactivate with a wet medium, I coated the entire spread with matte medium after everything was dry. That should keep my pages from sticking together.

I love seeing these. I don't art journal, but I love incorporating the techniques.  I've just signed up for a class with Dina Wakley and am excited to learn more.

I've never taken a class with Dina, but she is one of four teachers on a DVD I purchased from Cloth, Paper, Scissors. I've also read her book, Art Journal Freedom. She is an excellent teacher and funny as well. I know you will learn a lot in her class. I'm envious.
