Does the brand matter?

Golden is one of the more respected art brands and has a reputation for excellent quality. But that is important for artists who are selling art. If you're scrapbooking and making cards or minibooks for personal reasons, I don't think you need to spend the money on for the Golden brand, necessarily.
I've been using Golden in scrapbooking because I already have it for my art projects. But it might make more sense for me to go with something a little less expensive for when I'm using it for scrapbooking. Although, I would avoid real cheapy brands if they exist for gesso.

I'm not sure where I heard this...but it was recently.....spray on gesso! Apparently this can be purchased at Michaels in the art supply section. I usually get a tub of gesso from the art supply store but I am curious to check out the spray.
I think Wendy just talked about this on PRT! I had never heard of it before.
